7 ways to connect with the power of your breath
It was 2017. I had woken up at 4:45am to take the insane African road commute to the office in Luanda, Angola.
By 7:00am, I was already knees deep in problem solving potential catastrophic events .. suppliers stuck at borders, flight delays due to the conflict in Syria, a billion dollar new venture project presentation due in an hour ..
By 9:00am, my head would be throbbing, dizzy. I was a high functioning, ticking time bomb of stress. This would go on with no end in sight, a constant cycle of adrenaline, until one day my body screamed from within ..
// You need to BREATHE //

4 Ways of Healing The Witch Wound for The Modern Mother
It was some time in early spring this year. I was practicing holotropic breathwork, releasing the pain and stuck energy from my daughter’s ICU experience, when my highest self said “WITCH WOUND.” My breathwork session was overtaken by the words repeating from my higher consciousness. Then my body started feeling discomfort, my wrists felt bound, my neck felt constricted, I could feel an overwhelming sense of betrayal consuming my emotions.
It was so intense and I was so confused.
I didn’t come here for this today?
Embracing the Flow: Moving from Resistance to Acceptance
Although I could talk endlessly about the exploding amount of love that my children have created in my heart, today I want to focus on the more uncomfortable feelings that we move through. It's been my personal experience that, by holding space for the discomfort of fear, grief, shame, disgust, anger, etc,. that we can learn to find more allowing and acceptance in our lives. With allowing, we can release unnecessary suffering and better flow with the curve balls of life and motherhood.
What Human Design Taught Me About Mothering
Human Design was the reason why I shifted my perspective, and found acceptance for who we both are on a soul level. Unlike society, Human Design teaches us about differentiation; that being different is what actually makes us whole and beautiful. This drastically changed the way I mother my children because I’m no longer trying to strive for things to be different or ‘fix’ who they are.
