20: Akashic Records, A Compass Within, HER Newsletter Roundup, Personal Stories from Monica
Monica’s Akashic Records and the Journey Toward Purpose
In the latest episode of the Wand(HER)Wild podcast, founder Monica Virga Alborno opens her heart to the listeners in a deeply personal share: the story of how opening her Akashic Records became a moment of radical clarity during one of the most uncertain seasons of her life.
Set against the backdrop of her journey as a mother, a former engineering leader, and a full-time entrepreneur, Monica vulnerably shares the spiritual, emotional, and practical realities of following an inner compass—especially when the road ahead is shadowed by fear, fatigue, and unknowns.
The Question That Sparked It All
The podcast begins with a raw question Monica had been quietly asking herself in recent months: “What the fuck am I doing?”
After recently leaving her corporate job, nearly losing her daughter in the ICU, and navigating the grief of her grandfather’s passing, Monica found herself at a spiritual and emotional crossroads. Everything that had once felt steady now felt suspended. She knew she was being called forward—but forward to what?
In her words, it felt “like the biggest leap of faith” she had ever taken.
Opening the Akashic Records
During a reflective moment in nature, Monica sat in meditation beneath the trees, grounding herself in silence. After more than an hour of stillness, she accessed her Akashic Records—a practice rooted in the belief that there exists an energetic library of everything that has ever happened or will happen in the universe.
Not everyone may be familiar with the Akashic Records, she acknowledges, nor do all listeners need to believe in them. But for Monica, the moment was transformative.
She describes opening three metaphorical books, each with its own powerful message:
The First Book was large, brown, and ancient—overwhelming in its density. Images of death and skulls emerged, but instead of fear, she felt a symbolic death. It reflected her shedding of ego, an identity loss, and the beginnings of transformation.
The Second Book was white, shimmering, and thin. It opened from the back, revealing blooming roses, mountains, and radiant nature—signaling new beginnings, creativity, and spiritual blossoming.
The Third Book was forest green and solid, radiating deep trust. It conveyed a simple, embodied message: “You are on the right path. Keep going.”
Monica hasn’t opened her Akashic Records since. She didn’t need to. That one moment gave her the knowing she was searching for.
The Season of Spiritual Surrender
What followed after that experience was not immediate resolution—but rather a quieter, bolder trust. Monica shares that she began listening more intently to her body and intuition, even when it didn’t always make logical sense.
It was an initiation into self-leadership that didn’t require a strategy deck or five-year plan. Instead, it asked for pause. It asked for presence. It asked for an honest commitment to walk forward—even without a map.

Inviting Others Into the Process
True to her mission of building communities rooted in shared experience and sacred reflection, Monica doesn’t just tell this story to inspire. She tells it to invite.
As she explains in the episode, this season is about listening—and she's created spaces where other mothers and seekers can do just that.
Listeners are invited to join upcoming Wand(HER)Wild virtual experiences, such as the Renewal & Release Breathwork Session or the Sacred Connection Mind Mapping Experience, designed to help mothers strengthen their relationship with themselves and their children.
These virtual drop-ins were born out of feedback from Monica’s community—mothers who craved flexibility and depth, but couldn't always commit to longer programs. These sessions are now available individually, making sacred connection more accessible.
Podcast Reflections on Travel and Transformation
Monica also touches on recent Wand(HER)Wild podcast episodes inspired by travel—a theme close to her heart.
Episode 17 explores the impression left by one’s first travel experience and how those moments shape us.
Episode 18 shares the powerful messages Monica received during her 2019 trip to the island of Naxos, which ultimately led to the creation of Wanderwild’s latest offering: Private Family Retreats.
These reflections aren’t about travel logistics. They’re about soul memories, energetic imprints, and the values we carry with us when we explore the world—especially with our children in tow.
The Power of the Pause
At the end of the podcast, Monica reflects on what she has come to understand: the pause, the ritual, the leaning into moments of slowness—these are not distractions from the journey. They are the journey.
Opening the Akashic Records wasn't just about accessing some divine mystery—it was about creating a pause long enough to hear her own soul speak.
That moment beneath the trees didn't give her answers to everything. It simply gave her the permission to trust. To trust that life unfolds in cycles, and that letting go of certainty is not the same as losing direction.
It’s the rewilding of self. The sacred rebellion of choosing to believe in purpose over predictability.
And that, Monica believes, is something every mother deserves to reclaim.
