Meet the workshop host, Monica.
Hey, I’m Monica!
With a background in the corporate world of petroleum engineering, I thrived for over a decade in fast-paced, high-stress environments, leading teams inside a Fortune 500 company. But stepping into parenthood was the most life-changing transition I had ever experienced—and for the first time in my life, I felt like I was failing.
During those early months of maternity leave, I turned to nature. Creating space and presence outdoors helped me begin to reconnect with myself and redefine what success really meant. That journey of unconditioning—from what I was told life should look like, to following my own inner voice and a deeper sense of intuitive guidance—continues to shape everything I do today.
I’m the founder of Wanderwild Family Retreats™, the first retreat company in the Americas to create transformative, nature-rooted experiences that openly welcome children, and WandHERwild™, a digital community and podcast for modern mothers carving their own paths. My work has been featured in Forbes, Glamour, Parents, Business Insider, and more.
Originally from New Jersey, I’ve spent the past 14 years as an expat across four continents, visited more than 80 countries, and now call Norway home. Here, I’m raising two globally rooted children who carry with them pieces of America, Saudi Arabia, and Norway.
What drives me is connection—helping families slow down, root into nature, and rediscover their own intuitive wisdom. My work is fueled by a passion for experiential learning, holistic self-development, and building communities that empower families. Through retreats, storytelling, and community spaces, I aim to create environments where parents feel seen, supported, and inspired, even in the most challenging seasons of life.

What to Expect:
45-minute session (playback) where I will walk through themes related to how you physically and mentally spend your day.
We will explore common time warps that affect mothers, and you will mind-map ideas to reframe and create space within your day as a busy mom.

What to Bring:
An open mind!
A piece of A3 paper & coloring pencils preferred (markers, a pen, or smaller paper sizes can work if you don’t have these!)

Any mother is welcomed into the WandHERwild community no matter your profession, marital status, or season of motherhood. Most mothers attracted to our community are interested in a holistic and intentional approach to living with a curiosity about new ideas and self development in parallel to parenting.

Having small children herself, Monica understands that time is precious and they don't want to waste one minute of it. With time bending methodology, you will gain space and clarity in your life as a "busy mom".

We encourage you to show up live, and come as you are, to get the most of the interactive experience. We do realize things happen as mothers though, and there will be a playback recording available for a limited time after the live session if you have difficulty joining live.
